PDXBluescast – Show #19
Welcome back to the Bluescast, everybody, and thanks for being here. This week we’ve got a cool mix of new and old blues, all of it tasty and born right here in the City Of Roses. At the end of the show, in a show of support for the ailing Curtis Salgado, we treat you to a nugget from In Yo’ Face, the powerful combo that Curtis fronted in the ’80s with Lloyd Jones. Enjoy that, and make a point of catching Curtis live at your very next opportunity.

Thanks for another great show Pat.
I heard James Clem at the CBA meeting he played and after hearing these cuts I will definately be picking up this CD when it comes out. I’m a long time fan of Lisa Mann so there’s another one I’m looking forward to. I always enjoy hearing David Vest, I hear he had pnuemonia lately … get well David.
Such sad news about Curtis, hope all goes well there too. Fundraiser is in Eugene over Memorial Day weekend I hear. I’ll be in Los Angeles that weekend or I would be there for sure!

Terry, thank you for that info in your comment re the fundraiser for Curtis.
Pat, I found this site a few months ago…but then our laptop died and we were without a computer for a month…I just remembered about it and found you via Google…adding you to my Bloglines feeds right now.
I have a request: I’m feeling nostalgic in light of the news about our old pal Curtis and wondered if you could add a track from the old Stilettos days to one of your podcasts…featuring my boyfriend Jeff Minnieweather on drums. It would be the original self-titled “Curtis Salgado and the Stilettos” CD or the second one, “More Than You Can Chew.” (Jeff also played a few tracks on Curt and Terry Robb’s “Hit It and Quit It” CD.) I’m feeling particularly nostalgic about the original Stilettos band (on the first CD), when it was Curtis and the 4 J’s…Jeff, Joey Heinemann, Jay Bird Koder and John Mazzocco. I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
